The Pacific Northwest, also known as the PNW, is a predictably sought area of the U.S. for intimate weddings and elopements. There is a buzz that surrounds the region and for a good reason. You can choose backdrops of evergreen-filled mountains, oceans and beaches, lakes, rivers, or even deserts. Genneva and Gino chose Gig Harbor for their Pacific Northwest wedding, and what a view this was! Gig Harbor is both a bay and city in Washington state with a population of just over 12,000 people. This place is gorgeous with immaculate lake houses, insane views of Mount Rainier, and the sweetest downtown waterfront. It’s no surprise why they chose this location for their special day.
This venue sits on Raft Island, off a small inlet with a private dock looking over Henderson Bay. I have to say this made my job pretty easy for the bridal portraits because the view was unbeatable. The ceremony took place right on the dock and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. If you’re aware, the western portion of Washington state is known to be fairly rainy so it’s always a plus to beat the showers on a wedding day.
Genneva and Gino have a unique dynamic that I adore. They share a deep love built on trust and a whole lot of laughter. Spending this day with them will forever be a part of my highlight reel.
I hope you enjoy the rest of this Pacific Northwest wedding and let it inspire you to plan your Washington wedding or elopement. To stay up to date with more content like this, follow me on Instagram here!
